Latvians say that if you want to remember something, you should tie a knot*. So if you run into something that doesn't necessarily make any sense, it might as well be the case when it really doesn't - it might be a knot - smthn that has no meaning in shape, but rather in the knotter's memory tape's recorded content while tying it up.
