aussie for dummies

They tend to write much of a stuff on warning and road signs, often - too much of a stuff. Like on every "give way" sign making it explicit. And whatever you did on the road you shall do with a particular care.

There are some vicious birds and serious flooding threats:

And this one is just hilarious:

And these are some birds at my house's driveway (it's a vid btw :), they're quite active now. It's spring, you know...
No Canberra park
If any interest what else I saw in my ride around the park - spausk chia. Any of my other recent aussie amusements I tend to post here.

it seems like the signs in england... when i asked about the priority rules on normal streets they said: oh well, it depends if you have to cross the zig-zag lines or not... so i noticed that on nearly every crossing they had painted lines for showing this rule!!
and also 'mind your head' as well as 'the gap' :)

btw, i want an invitation to your german blog :P you will get one to my lithuanian diary if i ever start one :D

That's only a small fraction of the stuff - on every occasion when 2 lanes become one there is a text on a street - "form one lane", and like it wasn't enough with those arrows on the street - at most of traffic lights with multiple sections there is a sign "left lane must turn left", and for me the most amusing thing is that about doing everything with care which is the most common expression in those signs - cos it translates in my brains more or less like being gentle and precautios :).

P.S. I could show the german blog only for those who still learn german, cos in other case it's too embarrassing and every next entry is a complete ankle-breaker, so I guess I'll dump it soon. And I put it there just to motivate myself to contribute for it more frequently.
